RT3-AT Reciprocating Cylinder Dissolution System

Manufactured for precise dissolution tests with automated samples and filtering mechanisms is the RT3-AT Reciprocating Cylinder Dissolution System. This unit has an integrated coaxial bracket that enables fast mount replacements for holders alongside automatic vessel lids that protect against evaporation over time. The design incorporates a single-piece water bath which provides uniform heating properties and full drainage. The equipment operates with a high-precision sampling pump as well as an advanced Teflon pipeline system which prevents sample adsorption and maintains accurate results. Users can adjust the parameters for reciprocating stroke position alongside rate immersion duration and drainage duration according to FDA 21 CFR Part 11 standards.

Application

Compared to paddle and basket methods, the reciprocating cylinder method is able to provide more enhanced hydrodynamic forces by adjusting the reciprocating stroke and reciprocating frequency. It better simulates the mechanical stresses of chewing or in the body. It also supports changing the pH of the dissolution medium to simulate human gastrointestinal conditions.
